This January, CFL’s own Kat Moskowitz is donating her time, effort, and LEGS to a great cause. Kat is running the Walt Disney World Marathon and raising money for Ataxia-telangiectasia, or "A-T,”.
A-T is a progressive, degenerative disease that affects a startling variety of body systems. Children with A-T appear normal at birth, and the first signs of the disease usually appear during the second year of life. These first signs are usually a "wobbly" lack of balance and slurred speech caused by "ataxia," which means a lack of muscle control. (source)
Kat says her and her family are lucky to have learned about A-T by chance in 2009; and appreciate their good health and bodies so much more because of it.
Through learning of A-T, Kat met Rob, an active 19 year old from Stratford whose disease has greatly progressed. Rob’s Team is made up of 6 individuals all donating their bodies to kid’s who have little use of their own. January 2012 will mark Kat’s third year running for The A-T Children's Project.
Please consider helping Kat reach her fund raising goal by December 1; she is doing big things for great KIDS, and we are all so proud.
Go Kat!
